Growing in popularity every year, Krautfest is now taking over the restaurant for two nights!

On Friday, January 9th, & Saturday, January 10th, 2009, Gertrude's will celebrate the release of its homemade sauerkraut with a big party! Featuring dancing and live polka music with the acclaimed band "Joy of Maryland," the evening includes a full buffet, and a cash bar offering "Krautinis," seasonal German beers, and specialty vodkas.

The menu will feature Kraut & Roasted Beet Borscht, Kraut Stroganoff, Stuffed "Kraut" Cabbage Rolls, a Charcuterie Platter with Bavarian Brautwurst, Knackwurst, Weisswurst, and Bauernwurst, and Kraut-Braised Red Potatoes and Carrots - just to name a few of the items. Desserts will also be highlighted with Grandma Wissman's Chocolate Sauerkraut Cake, Sauerkraut Flan, and Double Chocolate Tart with Caramel Kraut.

Tickets are $30 per person in advance, or $35 at the door.
Last year Kraufest sold out a week in advance, so don't delay!
